We are now six weeks away from the beginning of March.  We will open in March as soon as the daily average temperatures reach 50 degrees.  Of course rain and snow can always change that.  The good news for 2014 is that all of our golf fees will be the same as last year.  As always we are open to any ideas as to groups or outings that want to use our course.  Also, new league ideas are exciting as well.  We look forward to seeing you.  Vince and Chris Taylor

     We could use more golfers for our Tuesday and Thursday night outings.  Tuesday most people golf individually.  You can earn up to a 10 stroke handicap.  On Thursday we have primarily 2 person teams playing the best ball after each shot.  The Thursday crowd is larger but we could still use more.  If you want to join us once for the fun of it without paying a pot fee you are welcome.  We have great groups and golfers of all levels so don't be shy.  Vince Taylor

I don't know why but when I published the last Scramble Post only a third of it went out.  I will quickly add some other details.  You pay for your golf and put $5.00 into the kitty which is paid out to the first and second teams.  There is a closest to the hole contest as well.  If you want to enter you put in a dollar and the person or persons, if we use two holes, wins the money.  Beginning Tuesday the 30th we will begin our scramble for teams and individuals.  That is enough for now.  If you have questions you can send back on our website or facebook page or call us at 812-330-8611.  Vince and Chris

Our first team scramble of the year is this Thursday, April 25th.  The first week there are no handicaps.  The teams establish their handicaps the first time they play.  It is 2 person best ball in that each member hits a shot and they pick the best shot to hit from next.  We play 18 holes

     Hopefully the cold is gone so temperatures shouldn't close us down again.  Rain on the other hand is another matter.  For the next couple of days it will be beautiful.  Hope to see you soon.  Vince

     We expected some snow but we got 2 to 3 inches.  What is worse, however, is that they have decreased the daily high temperatures significantly for Thursday and Friday so we may still have snow on the weekend.  As a result we won't know when we are opening for at least a couple of days.  Hopefully we will be able to open some time this weekend.  Make sure

     Unless the weather takes an unexpected turn for the worse we plan on opening Friday.  We don't know yet how much moisture we will get this week which could make it difficult to mow and prepare greens, but we are shooting for Friday.  We will post something on Thursday when we know for sure.  If the weekend is in the 50's we will definitely be open then.  It will be good to see you if you can make it.  Vince and Chris
